Dreary October weather left its mark at Elmwood, on the fairway and on the books.
"October was the worst on record, for most every course. We were at least 50 percent down in rounds and play. Cold and rainy in October, this first week of November has been as good as any October day we had," Ken Frear of Golf Pro at Elmwood said.
That cold October has many people taking advantage of our great start to November.
"Can't beat it! It's better than Arizona - weather's perfect, no leaves on the trees, we can shoot some good scores out here, we can break 50!" Golfer Jon Bot said.
As far as these golfers are concerned, Mother Nature has hit a hole in one.
"Oh, are you kidding? This is sun from heaven out here, it's great," Bot said.
So far the month of November has been great for golfers with plenty of sunshine and above normal temperatures nearly every day.
"They're excited to play again, a lot of people put their clubs away and thought we were done but its kind of like opening day again and we're busy this weekend," Frear said.
And it looks like courses across KELOLAND could stay open for a while.
