Employees at Sam's Club in Sioux Falls made a big donation to the Special Olympics Wednesday.
Employees held a bowling event that raised $5,000 and Sam's Club donated another $6,000. Board members with Special Olympics say the money couldn't have come at a better time.
"Receiving a check this size helps our organization very much because of the problems with the recession and everything, donations are down and so this is a fantastic surprise for us," Jim Broadwine with Special Olympics of South Dakota said.
The $11,000 is being matched again for a grand total of $22,000. Any money donated right now will also be matched. Go to the Special Olympics of South Dakota Web site for details.
