Christmas trees soon will filling the hallways of the South Dakota Capitol for the 29th annual Christmas at the Capitol holiday display.
State officials say more than 90 Christmas trees will be decorated by schools, churches, communities and civic groups from across the state on November 21-22.
A lighting ceremony has been scheduled for the evening of November 24, and visitors can see the display through December 27.
The two-story South Dakota tree is being donated by the National Guard and is at Camp Rapid, in Rapid City, in front of the former headquarters Building. It's a 45-foot Black Hills spruce that was planted in 1949.
