The debate continues over hunting mountain lions in South Dakota.
The state Game, Fish, and Parks Department recently conducted a survey to find out if people think there should be a mountain lion hunting season. If found 62 percent of those surveyed supported a hunt. Nearly 24 percent opposed it and 13.5 percent of those surveyed said they were neutral.
Tammy Mayer is among those who support a mountain lion season.
She says her family lives in the country and for her children and their dog, "it's a little scary at times for them to be out there alone."
Mayer's son, Brighton, is among those on the other side of the debate. He says everything deserves to live.
