Windy and mild weather is in the forecast today for much of eastern KELOLAND…while the west will be a little cooler with a slight chance of rain later this afternoon. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 50s in most areas east river with a few low 60s west of Sioux Falls. Winds will be from the south at 15-30 mph.
Rain will expand in western SD tonight and tomorrow…with areas of snow becoming likely in the west tomorrow. Sioux Falls and the east will see more clouds Wednesday with showers possible in the afternoon for Aberdeen.
The storm will intensify Wednesday night and Thursday…with moderate rainfall likely in eastern KELOLAND and snow in the west. Right now…it appears heavy snow will be likely in parts of western SD starting Wednesday night and Thursday. Amounts over 6 inches will possible in the hills…so expect additional watches and warnings to be issued later today. Rainfall totals will be near 1” in some areas through Friday in eastern KELOLAND.
Temperatures will turn colder Friday and Saturday with windy weather likely Saturday.
