Storm Center Update - Friday PM
Clouds and a few showers were hanging around across the state today but dryer weather is expected for the weekend. However, the cold front bringing the clouds and rain today will cool our temperatures for the coming weekend. We should stay dry for the weekend and even into next week.

Storm Center Update-Friday AM
Morning fog continues near I-29 and areas of showers continue along and behind a cold front that is passing through the region. So far, the amounts have stayed on the light side…below a quarter inch. Look for highs in the 40s in most locations with mostly cloudy skies. A few showers may be left over tonight in southeastern KELOLAND…while the west and central see partly cloudy skies.

Storm Center Update - Thursday PM
A cold front will move through KELOLAND tonight and tomorrow allowing for much cooler temperatures this weekend. Along with the cooler air, light rain and light snow will be possible. The best areas to get the snow will be in western, central, and northeast KELOLAND. Much of southeast KELOLAND (from Marshall, Brookings, Mitchell and points southeast) will be too warm for snow, so expect a light rain.

Storm Center Update-Thursday AM
Warm and breezy weather continues in KELOLAND with morning temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s already. We could see a few areas of drizzle today in the east…but nothing very heavy. Highs will in the upper 50s to mid 60s. A cold front will move to the south late in the afternoon…with a chance of rain and snow in the Black Hills first…spread east overnight.

Storm Center Update - Wednesday PM
Low level clouds will hang through the overnight with periods of drizzle and areas of fog possible in eastern KELOLAND. Expect another mild night with lows only falling to the 40s, average lows are in the middle 20s! Tomorrow will remain above average with highs in the 50s and 60s despite seeing mostly cloudy skies in eastern KELOLAND.

Storm Center Update-Wednesday AM
Look for increasing clouds in the east today with a breeze from the south most of the day. In fact, some patchy drizzle is possible later this afternoon in the southeast…with more drizzle likely tonight along the I-29 corridor. Don’t worry about that drizzle in the west, however. Highs will be in the 60s the next couple of days in both Pierre and Rapid City as the weather remains dry.

We've been dry and warm this November; it's not anything unusual, as it seems November snow is usually all or nothing. Meaning we either get a lot or very little.

Storm Center Update - Tuesday PM
Clouds will continue to move west to east this evening and tonight, but we’ll stay dry as temperatures only fall to the 30s and 40s. Clouds will remain tomorrow with drizzle developing in southeast KELOLAND during the afternoon and night. Northeast, central, and western South Dakota will stay dry as temperatures will be above average with highs in the 50s and 60s.

Storm Center Update-Tuesday AM
Mostly sunny skies will be in our forecast today with very mild temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Winds will be rather strong at times from the south at 15-30mph…with the strongest winds west and north of Sioux Falls. Breezy weather will continue overnight and the overnight lows should stay warmer as a result.

Warm November Can Bring More Snow
Sioux Falls hit 70 degrees on Friday. While it's not uncommon in November, coming out of a cool, wet October, it was well deserved.

High clouds will continue to move through KELOLAND this evening and tonight. Despite the clouds, temperatures will fall to the 20s in many locations with light winds. Tomorrow will be sunny in eastern KELOLAND, but clouds will increase in western and central South Dakota with highs remaining well above average tomorrow.

After a beautiful weekend, the weather will continue to be warmer than normal to start the new week. With mostly sunny skies, highs will be in the upper 50s to near 60. Winds today will be light and variable. Look for mostly clear skies tonight with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunshine will continue in KELOLAND tomorrow, but stronger south winds will develop with winds of 15-25+ pretty likely in the afternoon.

A few clouds were the difference out there today, they kept us a little cool as well. Though of course it was still pretty nice! Tomorrow looks great as well, we may again see a few clouds especially in the SE. Elsewhere look for ample sunshine and warmer temperatures than what we saw out there today.

Another nice day is on the way for KELOLAND today. We do have a weak weather system in the area that may spark a few sprinkles or a light shower especially in eastern South Dakota. If anything does fall it will be very light. We will definitely have a little more cloud cover and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler.

Plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures again out there today across KELOLAND. If you spent any time outdoors congratulations! Temperatures were just a few degrees cooler than yesterday and tomorrow will again be a few degrees cooler than today.

Our nice November start to November will continue into the weekend. Temperatures today will be a little cooler than yesterday but it will still be nice and we should have a fair amount of sunshine. Tomorrow brings a few clouds from the west and again slightly cooler temperatures.

We had sunny and mild conditions this afternoon in central and western KELOLAND with some records being tied or broken. 80s have been hit in south central and west central South Dakota this afternoon while widespread 60s have made it to eastern KELOLAND. Tonight will remain warm with lows falling to the upper 30s and lower 40s in many locations as skies will be mostly clear.
